Rope Rescue
Operations Level Training
NIPSTA presents this 40-hour, State-certified program designed to provide basic rope rescue skills to all participants. Training topics include safety, equipment, anchors, belays, low-angle rescues, and patient packaging.

These will be addressed in a classroom environment and during multiple training scenarios. This program is scheduled on March 19-23, 2012 on the NIPSTA Campus. For complete details, click here.
Fire Apparatus Engineer at NIPSTA
In April, NIPSTA offers Fire Apparatus Engineer (FAE), which is a six-day, State-certified program that is available in a convenient two-week format. The curriculum emphasizes practical evolutions and allows students to participate in hands-on training daily. In addition, attendees receive course credit from Oakton Community College. NIPSTA Members also receive a 20% tuition discount. Click here to register.
New Car Technology Program Now Available
On April 30, 2012, NIPSTA offers a one-day program that provides participants with a thorough orientation, and up-to-date information, related to new vehicle technology. This knowledge is essential during emergency response to a crisis situation. This program will increase first responders’ awareness of the hazards and technologies found in today’s high-tech vehicles. Click here to register for this program.
